I spent Valentines day afternoon at the Nano Imaging Lab at Carleton University. JJ and I scanned several mycelium and mushroom specimen. I also had the pleasure of meeting artist Annie Thibault! Annie has been a practicing Bio-Artist since the mid 90's, her work is extensive and quite fascinating. She works with biology Professor Myron Smith at Carleton U. Professor Myron Smith has worked on the Humungous Fungus in Michigan! Armillaria gallica is its name.
My hope is to work with Honey Mushroom mycelium during my residency at MOCA.
